I had this happen when I had my 2003, I thought it was my brake box, but I found out that if you have the climate control set to blow out the vents, which is all the way counter clockwise, it is like it is trying to move the door under the dash too far and I would get a clicking sound.Apr 12, 2013 · Truck developed a ticking noise shortly after. My LMM is exhibiting a slight intermittent ticking noise coming from what appears to be the lower part of the engine. Sometimes it's there and sometimes it's not. When I do hear it, it's not continous either...like a few times per second and then nothing, with no pattern.

I have a video of it, not sure how to post it on this forum. But it is an irregular noise that does increase repitition with RPM but does not imitate RPM at idle.
